Our Sound healing journey

Whilst on a recent trip to Phuket, Thailand we stumbled across a beautiful little sound healing sanctuary named Jungala, where we met owners Wolfgang and Ploy. After only a few group sessions and 1-2-1's we realised the potential this therapy has for deep relaxation and healing.

Natasha quickly decided she was going to train with Wolf and Ploy to learn the Himalayan art of sound healing, as she had felt some of the many benefits herself, and could see how this healing therapy would complement the other healing modalities she was already using.

Why Naturopathy

Chakra Balancing

Each singing bowl is specifically tuned to a chakra frequency. When singing bowls are played, particular sound frequencies are projected into the affected area, this will allow the correct harmonic patterns to get restored in the area.

Brainwave Entrainment

Healing processes are initiated through entraining our brainwaves to synchronise with the perfect resonance of the bowls. Unique tones create the perfect state of deep meditation, creative thinking, and intuitive messages.

Background - Himalayan singing bowls are believed to have originated in the Himalayan region, particularly in Tibet, Nepal, and India. These bowls are made from various types of metals, including copper, tin, brass, and sometimes gold and silver. Traditionally, they were crafted using a hammering and casting technique, and then were engraved with symbols and designs, making each bowl unique. The exact origin of singing bowls is uncertain, but they are believed to have been in use for at least 2500 years. There are many theories about their history and use.

One theory suggests that they were originally used as food bowls in ancient times, and the singing sound was produced unintentionally. Another theory suggests that they were used in shamanic rituals to induce trance-like states. It is also believed that singing bowls were used in Buddhist and Hindu spiritual practices as early as the 8th century. In Tibetan Buddhism, singing bowls were used for meditation, prayer, and other rituals.
